Fit Check Tips

Band: Should fit snugly on the loosest hook when new. It shouldn't ride up in back.
Cups: No spillage or gaping. The wire should encase all breast tissue.
Straps: Should stay up without digging in. They provide only 20% of support.

How to Measure Your Bra Size at Home

Follow these simple steps for accurate measurements. All you need is a soft measuring tape!

1

Band Measurement

Wrap the tape measure around your ribcage, right under your breasts. Make sure it's snug but comfortable. This gives you your band size. If you get an odd number, round up to the nearest even number.

2

Bust Measurement

Measure around the fullest part of your bust. Keep the tape parallel to the floor. Stand naturally with arms at your sides. This measurement is crucial for an accurate cup size calculation.

3

Calculate the Difference

Subtract your band measurement from your bust measurement. Every inch difference equals one cup size. Example: 4" difference = D cup. Our calculator does this math for you automatically.

4

Understand Different Systems

US, UK, EU, and French sizes all use slightly different measurements. A 34C in US is 75C in EU and 90C in French sizing. Our calculator shows all these so you can shop anywhere in the world.

Common Bra Size Questions

Answers to questions people usually ask about finding the right bra size

Why do different countries have different bra sizes?

Different countries developed their own sizing systems over time. US and UK use inches for band measurement, while EU uses centimeters. French sizing adds 15cm to the band measurement. That's why a 34C in US becomes 75C in EU and 90C in French. Our bra size calculator handles all these conversions for you.

How do I convert between US and EU bra sizes?

For band sizes: US 32 = EU 70, US 34 = EU 75, US 36 = EU 80, etc. For cup sizes: A, B, C, D are usually the same, but after D it varies. UK uses DD while EU uses E. Our calculator shows all these conversions automatically so you don't have to worry about the math.

What's the difference between US, UK, and EU cup sizes?

Up to D cup, they're usually the same. After D: US uses DD, DDD, G while UK uses DD, E, F, FF, G. EU goes straight from D to E to F. The cup volume is similar but the letters are different. That's why it's helpful to use our size calculator which shows all systems at once.

How tight should the band really be?

The band should be snug on the loosest hook when you buy it. It shouldn't ride up in back or feel like it's digging in. You should be able to fit two fingers under the band comfortably. Remember, about 80% of your bra's support comes from the band, not the straps.

What's the most common bra size mistake?

Most people wear a band that's too big and cups that are too small. They think the straps should hold everything up, but really the band should do most of the work. If your straps are digging in or you have spillage over the cups, you probably need a different cup size calculation.
